Account Deletion

Android app

1. Open the Vivahkalp app and log in.
2. Go to the Profile tab.
3. Tap Delete Account.
4. Optionally tell us why, tick the confirmation box and tap Request Account Deletion.

Website

1. Log in at vivahkalp website.
2. Open Settings → Delete Account (direct link).
3. Tick the confirmation box and submit the request.

You can still ask us to delete your account. Use either option and include the email address or mobile number you registered with, so we can verify it is your account:

• Email support@vivahkalp.com with the subject Account deletion request. Please write from your registered email address.
• Or raise a support ticket - no login is needed.

We acknowledge every request within 48 hours.

1. Immediately: your profile is hidden from all matches and searches. It does not wait for review.
2. Review and deletion: our team permanently deletes your account and data and sends you a confirmation email once complete.
3. Backups: residual copies in encrypted backups are purged on our normal backup cycle, within 90 days.

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. If you only want a break, you can block members or simply stop using the app instead.

• Account details - name, mobile number, email address and password
• Your profile - personal, physical, career, family, religion and lifestyle details
• Your profile photos and uploaded verification documents (ID proof, salary slip, kundali)
• Interests sent and received, shortlists, notifications and chat messages

A limited set of records may be kept where required by law, or to resolve disputes and prevent fraud (for example, records of reports or safety cases involving your account). Encrypted backups are purged within 90 days. See the Privacy Policy for details.
